How time flies, whoever thought we would be counting the build up to 7th December in days we started way back in January but as the year had its own plans for us all, Coronavirus also known as Covid-19 came in to switch up and changed the atmosphere, at a point we all stopped counting but hey finally 7th December is just a few hours away if we can dare say. For our readers here in Ghana this is going to be one very important Elections that is poised to test our Democracy and by this sheer fact, everyone who is of sound mind and eligible to vote is already gearing up one way or the other to go cast their votes come Monday.
Our focus for this post is basically to show you our dear Ssuxess readers how to look every inch stylish and comfy as you step out of your home to go vote. We know how you all are cracking your brains on who to go vote, well we wouldn’t want you to also have to think all night what to wear, that’s why the clear essence for this post is to help you look your very best without over-dressing or looking all tacky, taking into consideration the climate condition in Ghana, the Coronavirus pandemic which is unfortunately on the rise and lastly the harsh reality of the long hours you would be at the voting grounds just to cast your civic duty. We are fast approaching a very humid weather, were most times the weather tends to get very hot from dawn to midday and then we have a normal weather from midday to sunset.
At any minute from now we would be faced with the Almighty Harmattan, so we need to be guarded on all sides and prepare adequately. For the issue of health we all know what situation the world including Ghana is battling which is Covid-19, although we were able to battle it during the first of the virus, there seems to be a new rise of infections with the covid-19, so it would be suicidal not to be equipped as you go vote on 7th December. Heading to the polls next week? Make sure to dress comfortably. Ahead of next week’s pivotal presidential election, making a voting plan, you may want to also make sure you’re dressed for the occasion by factoring that there might be rain, lots of sunshine, or otherwise you would have gotten yourself all soaked up. So before you head to the polls, here are a few helpful things you should know: First, and foremost, make sure you’re at the correct polling place. The last thing you want to do is wait for hours at the wrong polling station only to be turned away.
Here are a few style we would be recommending for our readers as you step out to go vote come 7th December.
LOAFERS
Loafers are going to save you lots of stress, loafers are slip-on style shoes that do not have laces or any other fastenings. Think fancy slippers. Usually, loafers have a low or even no heel and are typically made using leather or suede. With all these being said you want to be in something very comfy and not give you sweats down your ankle and you can actually stand for long hours wearing loafers.
CHINOS/ AFRICAN WEAR SHORTS
Come Monday 7th Dec, the option to either go western or African would come to play so to choose you can go for a more polished Chinos shorts or if you are very patriotic to the continent then going for the African shorts are going to do you a lot of good, just think how cool and sexy you would be.
SHORT / LONG SLEEVE DASHIKI
So for your loafers, Chinos or African shorts the next option to go for is either this long sleeve dashiki or short sleeve dashiki, depending on your spec you would look as half as hot as Aqua-Man trust our judgement, Well Thank you in advance.
TEAM BLUE / BLACK JEANS
So here’s another great fashion piece you can indulge yourself with as you plan on going to vote, are you team black or team blue whichever of them that rocks your boat, please do well to give your down region some attention cause they really do deserve it.
SHORT POLO / LONG SLEEVE POLO
This is probably one of our favorite statement pieces of all times. The famous polo shirt comes in two types yes guys two, you didn’t know ok now you do, the normal short sleeve and infamous long sleeve. The short sleeve polo goes very well with a jeans or a short which are on our list here but if you want to go for the long polo sleeve, then please pair it up with only a jeans.
CANVAS / SNEAKERS
For a second you were thinking if we were going to add your favorite footwear to this list, well here you go, going out to vote why don’t you make it worth everyone’s while. Rock a different color of your choice if you not all comfy going all white, the sneakers or canvas can go well with any of the pants choices such as chinos, African wear short, jeans.
FACE MASK
Last but definitely not the least, this is the most important thing aside your Voter’s Identification Card, the face mask has been proven to prevent us from contracting the coronavirus and going by what the Electoral Commission have put out, “NO NOSE MASK, NO VOTE” you sure need to arm yourself with one of the certified nose masks out there and be all pumped for 7th December.
Other notable items that should be with you as you go vote on Monday should include a walled self sanitizing water bottle, a Bluetooth wireless headphone, an open/close umbrella and lastly a portable travel charger.
