Travelling is fun until it gets to the part of what to park, and even how to park its like another 8 – 5 collar job is upon you. it can be very frustrating when you have to carry about 3-5 luggage’s just for a week vacation or a business trip. You are not only putting a lot of stress on your self and that trip of yours, you would probably be charged fortunes at the airport which you have probably not factored in your budget. So what and how should a gentleman get himself ready as he journeys away from home either for a vacation or business trip, for us the best way to go is MINIMALIST. You have probably heard of this word a million times and not given it any attention or you are just oblivious to it, not too worry that is why we have curated this special article to help you go minimal on your baggage, its simple, convenient and the best way any man should present himself in public. Just think about how the world is championing for everyone going Green, now let that sink.
Having said this A man is judged by his appearance, You are what you pack. A man with an enormous bag? Overcautious, inexperienced, and indecisive. And probably sweaty. A man who can go for months with just a daypack? That’s a happy camper who knows what’s up. We do not know how best to shout this from the mountain top but once again let it sink in, we are about to discourage you from going all messy and junky and go the minimalistic way with us. To start you would need to create a list of items you intend going with at least 3-4 days prior to your departure.
It starts with a simple checklist to eliminate all the unnecessary items that go into your bags.
Let’s start by asking some basic questions about your trip; Before you thought of that trip you should have known basic information about the country or city you are visiting, from the weather, the dress code that is more acceptable there or if it is a business meeting, find out what kind of suit, shoes, etc you are expected to be in. How long are you going to be traveling? Once you answer these basic questions, pack clothes that coordinate so you can interchange with no hassles. After much thoughts, the next step to think of is your luggage type.
Choose Your Luggage – Choose The Smallest Bag That Still Fits Your Needs.
This is very important, so once you have made a list of items you intend going with place all of the items on a table or bed where you can have a complete view of all items, now its time to find a luggage that can fit now depending on which mode of transportation you intend using if it is by road, a chunk garment bag is your best bet as this would fit and cover all your most priceless suits which you do not want getting stained if you are going to be driving with the family, there would be a lot of milk spillage etc. So the garment bag would conveniently cover up all however, since connecting flights require walking a mile, a bag with wheels is absolutely necessary if your trip requires you going by air.

Clothing To Pack When Traveling
As short as it looks is one complicated part that needs your utmost attention, when travelling you would definitely some clothes, now looking up at our initial tips after finding out the weather conditions and outfits required you need to pack accordingly now lets take for instance you are going on a vacation trip to lets say Hawaii or Dubai you can tell that about 90% of the clothes that you would be packing are all going to laid back comfy wears that are very non-formal compared to if you are going on a business trip to the same destination. vacation outfit ideas may include maximum of 2-3 pair of shorts and a Caribbean top, sheer top, or a chiffon top, sunglasses, sunscreen, a pair of sneakers , fancy slippers 1 would do, briefs depending on the number of days take for each night so if you spending 3 days take 4 pants, if you spending 4 days take 5 pants respectively, singlet do same as the briefs or pants, two pair of wrist-watch, your beauty bag and you are so good to go. Looking at a 4 days business trip maximum, a pair of suit and 1 pair of single suit jacket and 1 dark and grey pants are ok for that number of days, then you can put a pair of casual outfit ( jeans and a polo top and a loafers) just incase you intend painting that town red as a way of relaxation.
Other essential accessory items for me are:
- sunglasses
- wallet
- credit cards
- cash make sure it isn’t bulky as some airport wont allow you carrying huge monies around and it isn’t even safe in the first place. That is why the credit card is there.
- drivers license and/or passport
- 3 packs of gum
- Neutral shoe cream and brush to polish my shoes
Very simple items to pack and also realistic wouldn’t you agree. The next time you travel, remember to pack light, pack only what you need and use this checklist or create your own.
